Via Dinarica BH-W-08 Neretva and Rakitnica Canyon to Lukomir village

Challenging section up to Lukomir, but marvelous views over Rakitnica canyon. It was way shorter than what I expected from previous comments! Took me around 8h30 with 30-45min of breaks, from the bridge over the Neretva to Lukomir - while not being the fastest hiker. It had rained the day before, rocks were slippery so be very careful when you are hiking up the canyon. I am usually a bit afraid of heights but this section was ok (some parts a bit exposed but nothing too serious).

Another impressive section! However, water was difficult to get in the hot summer of 22 :-) Other hikers had informed me about the lack of water in the cave just before Vranske stijene, so I had to find an alternative. Luckily, a local of Dubocani showed me a kind of 'public fountain/tap' in the middle of the village, with plenty of water! Found this stage beautiful but difficult, took 14 hours from boracko lake with breaks - try to get a lift in the morning to avoid road walking. Make sure to bring enough water. Spring before Vranske stijene hard to find but it is there, follow the trail markers (roughly:: 43°35'52.9"N 18°04'05.3"E). Had water on 27.06 but had to climb into the cave thing to get it - a lot easier than it sounds. I wouldn't rely on blace lake for water refill (lots of algae/pondweed). Got accomdation at Lukomir very easily (didn't book).
