Sarajevsko Ozren is located northeast of Sarajevo. Bukovik is the highest peak of Sarajevsko Ozren, at a height of 1,532 meters above sea level. The path for Crepoljsko and Bukovik begins from Čavljaka, and it takes around 2 to 3 hours to reach the mountain lodge on Bukovik. There are a few facilities along the path, and the Bukovik lodge is located at the base of the summit.

Mountain lodge Bukovik is a distance of four kilometers from the entrance. The lodge has 7 rooms with 21 beds. On weekends, this lodge gets a lot of visitors because the area is perfect for all ages, both young and old alike.

Public transport

Minibus 64 leaves from Barica and Čavljaka on the weekends and holidays.

Departures are from the terminal Park at 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 15:00, 16:00 and 17:00 o'clock, and returns from Barica are at 8:30, 9:30, 10:30, 15:30, 16:30 and 17:30.

The ticket price for adults for a one-way trip is 1.60 KM, and a return ticket is 2.70 KM. A one-way ticket for a child costs 0.50 KM.

Getting there

From Čavljaka, there are well-maintained hiking trails that go to the Bukovik and Crepoljsko peaks, as well as to Skakavac Waterfall.
