In this area there is a network of hiking trails called Zvjezdane staze (transl. Star Trek), which can be used not only for hikers, but also for organizing photo safari tours and schools in nature. Also, near the lodge there are volleyball and football terrains. Capacity is 30 beds with a living room with 40 seats. The lodge has electricity, cold and hot running water and access to a land line telephone.

There is no direct public transport to the location.By road
The mountain hut can be reached from three directions: from Vareš via Viaduct over to the Majdan, or through Vareš, via Ponikve all the way up to the Mekuše- this road is slightly longer and it takes about 12 km. The third route goes through Dola on Zvijezda mountain. For all those visitors arriving by private car and buses, there is asphalt road that goes directly to the Lodge.Parking
