Andrićgrad is an idea about a stone medieval city, inspired by works and characters of a nobel prize winner, Ivo Andrić. It is actually a vision of how Višegrad would have looked like if the Renaissance and other historical periods had not gone by it. In architectural terms, the city itself is a mix of different eras and styles that have changed through the history of this area: the Byzantine style, the Ottoman period, the Renaissance and classicism. During the walk through the main street – promenade, visitors will be able to return to the past, “it practically merges two periods – the Renaissance fragments with the Ottoman period and the Byzantine Empire.”

Visegrad can be reached by bus from several directions, daily from East Sarajevo (06:30, 15:00), Banja Luka (09:00), Trebinje (08:00, 21:45), Belgrade (07:00, 17:40, 20:00, 22.00), Uzice (7:30, 10:00, 15:00) and Nis (21:00).Parking
