From the hunting lodge, head west, using mountaineering markings, through locations called Opaljik and Velike Poljice, all the way to Polom, just below the Botin rock. When you get to Polom, you do not have to go back the same way, but continue on the marked path under the rocks (west - east), which is very interesting because it partly leads to the old Austro-Hungarian trail, which served to export forests and control the area.

Author’s recommendation

At the starting location (Jezero) there is a hunting lodge, with the capacity of 10 - 15 personr, that is managed by Botin Forestry (Nevesinje municipalty).

Getting there

Access to the starting point (Jezero location) is possible from two directions:

- from Rujište, on a macadam road through the village of Zijemlje.

- from Nevesinje

Important note: for the passability of the last 3 kilometers of macadam access to the Jezero location, it is necessary to contact the Botin Forestry, because there is a locked ramp on the road. An alternative is to cross this part on foot.
