The walk requires a high level of fitness. It starts on Mt Igman, and you traverse Mt Bjelašnica via Ljubovčići and lake Lokvanjsko, reaching Pazarić and Javornik. You can take a break at the Stanari lodge.

This is a rather interesting walking route: 1 lake – 2 mountains – 3 mountain lodges. It starts in front of the Feri Hotel on Mt Igman and proceeds over Javornik towards Lake Lokvanjsko and over Stanari and Podgradina towards Pazarić. Although it features no major ascends, the route still demands a certain level of fitness as it is about 20 kilometres long. It starts along the forest road leading to the Javornik mountain lodge which has benches in front of it where you can rest even when the lodge is closed.
Soon, you will pass by Međeđe Lokve and a turn leading to the peak of Vlahinja and Kara Mustafine Čaire. The path continues across scrub around the peak of Međeđa Glava. The next stop is Lokvanjsko Lake which makes a pleasant rest spot before proceeding to Stanari. This area is rich in blueberries and wild strawberries.
From Stanari, a marked trail leads across Podgradina and Bor, descending all the way to Pazarić where the route ends.

Turn-by-turn directions
From Feri go west and take the marked trail through the forest to the Javornik lodge. From Javornik proceed to Karamustafine čaire, then up the road through the scrub. When you get out of the scrub turn left (south) to lake Lokvanjsko. From the lake you have to go back north, back to the road to Stanari. Go west across the meadows to the forest. When you enter the forest the road leads south to the Stanari lodge. From Stanari go back to the same road and take the marked forest trail north. You'll cover a short distance via the wide road from Lokve, then turn left again to Bor and Pazarić.
Public transport
Take a bus to Igman; return by bus from Pazarić to Sarajevo.As the start and end point are different, you need to organise transport to both locations.
By road
Take M18 to Krupac, right after the quarry turn right onto R442a towards Mt Bjelašnica and Mt Igman. When you reach the police station turn left towards Mt Igman. When you get to Veliko polje, turn left and go down to the hotel Feri.Return from Pazarić via M17 in the direction of Sarajevo.
