BY THE SEA: Transversal through the Coastal Mountains ("PPT") From the northern to the southern end of Montenegro's coast, from Herceg Novi to Bar, the coastal crossings meander through the Orjen Mountains, around the Bay of Kotor, over the Lovćen National Park, through Paštrovačka Gora and then continue over the Rumija Mountains to Bar, in the southern part of the coast. The second long-distance trail in Montenegro ("Primorska Planinarska Transferzala", PPT for short) was opened in 2006 and runs from Herceg Novi on the northern Adriatic coast of Montenegro along the coastal mountains of Orjen, around the Bay of Kotor, via Lovcen and through Pastrovska Gora and Rumija Mountains to Bar in the southern part of the coast. Overwhelming views and a multitude of historic sites along the route make the hike a unique experience. 150 km of access routes offer a variety of options for day trips.

AccommodationYou can choose between tents, mountain huts, apartments, bungalows and private accommodation or hotels in every price range. Katuns (Alpine settlements) Do not hesitate to stop off; even if the landlord does not speak your language, he will greet you warmly and offer you his supplies: homemade bread, cheese and brandy.
