Via Dinarica White trail in Bosnia and Herzegovina consists of 12 stages with a total length of 334 km. Stages are not daily sections, but areas of one mountain or geographical area. Basically, this is a hiking trail that requires good physical condition and experience, but some stages are easier hiking or biking sections. Steeper and harder trails have another alternative that usually follows a forest road. Mountaineering facilities and shelters exist every day (6-8 hours) of walking, and where they are not an option, it is possible to spend the night in rural households. Sources of drinking water and wells can be found at every stage, but some areas are scarce.

Author’s recommendation

Each stage is unique. Set aside weekends for a year or a month and hike the entire trail.
