The easiest and shortest way to Stanari is form the village of Ljubovčići (near Pazarić) via Bor. It's a 10 km walk with some 800 metres of altitude difference. You can leave your car by the rock with the first waymark of the track, and head down the macadam road towards A few hundred metres away you will reach a meadow with a cottage in it. From there, several paths lead uphill through the forest. The marked road leading uphill from the left corner of the meadow is completely visible only from the back side of the trees (marked for return). The trail to Stanari goes through the forest all the way, and is quite steep. Except for the first part, it is marked well and there's a signpost at every junction. Halfway into the route you come out to a macadam road that leads to the village of Lokve. There is a car park there, big enough for about ten cars. From there on, the road was muddy and rather badly damaged. It had probably been used for logging, which, combined with copious rainfall, can destroy a road. You reach your destination after about three hours of easy walking, with a few breaks. Once there, you can break for lunch and enjoy the view of the area of Mt Bjelašnica below the peak Hranisava.

The way back is via the road to Podgradina, which is in a much better condition. It connects to the same macadam road, only a kilometre farther to the east. There is another small car park there. From there, return to the trail via Bor, the same trail you came up.
