The GPS track starts at the trailhead to Kamesnica - Konj (or at the end, if coming from above). It goes along the local road by the Kamesnica Sport Center, where hostel-style accomodation is available. (The alternative is to walk along the lake on the dam wall.) It continues through Podhum, over Hum and follows the dirt road to Tusnica's main summit -- Veliki (Great) Vitrenik. It descends along the ridge to Prisojske staje and over to the eastern slopes. (The marked trail leads to Prisoje.) It continues down the slopes to the pine forest and follows the loggers' road descent to the Tomislavgrad-Split road, to a resting place and view point. From here, the Via Dinarica trail continues over Grabovicka mountain.

Follow the road to Podhum, pass by the church, and cross the Livno-Tomislavgrad road. Follow the trail over the steep grassy slope to join the road above. Follow the road up, and keep left to the end. It is possible to cross through private property, but ask for permission first.

Pass by the mobile phone antenna station and a very old graveyard, and after that turn right. Stay on the main dirt track (next left), and before the next junction, it is possible to cut over grassland on the right and join the road again. Follow the road to a concrete structure. From there, go over steep slopes following the blazes on the rocks and later following the marking poles leading to the summit of Vitrenik. The descent follows the blazes along the ridge to the waterhole (Prisojske staje). Then, leave the marked trail and go southeast, to the right of the second summit hill. Descend down the open terrain to the pine forest and follow the loggers' road to the main road.
