Trebević Protected Landscape

Trebević is an important tourist and recreational site largely destroyed during the recent war. A paved road and a cable car (1700 m distance; currently not operating) link Trebevic picnic area with downtown Sarajevo. Its topographic terrain features were ideal for the installment of a combined bobsleigh/luge track where Trebević hosted bobsled races during XIV Winter Olympic Games in 1984.
In 1975, a 60 m tall radio tower was built near the peak, at 1566 m. It is the only telecommunications relay to have survived the 1995 NATO bombing campaign. It is an important communications node for Saraјevo and a broadcast transmitter for many Radio and TV stations.

A bus line no. 98 (Latinska Ćuprija – Trebević) operates on weekends and during holidays. The bus leaves at 9:00h and 16:00h and returns from Trebeveć at 10:00h and 17:00h.Kako stići do tamo?
To reach Trebević, one can hike, drive, cycle or use a public van. The road leading from Vraca across Trebević toward Jahorina is slightly damaged but good. At the turn to bobsleigh track, the paved road splits and veers to the left. A little farther down the road, it turns into a trail disappearing into the woods.Координате
